While other banks prefer to stick with IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection), SBI prefers to conduct their separate exam. The bank releases their recruitment notification and conducts various phases of exam and rinse out the best possible candidate for them. It is indeed a tough job to get through all these phases, but once you are through, you’re all set to explore the bright career opportunities. Mainly, State Bank of India conducts recruitment for the following posts,

Amongst these three, Probationary Officer offers very good career growth. That is the reason why every year, there are millions of applicants for merely 2000 (approximate) vacancies.
SBI Recruitment process for Probationary Officer
The Probationary Officer is most challenging job, and it comes with great responsibilities and attractive perks. In order to skim only deserving candidates, SBI has created four phases in order to get final selection. These phases are,

The last two phases are conducted on the same day. Other banks do not include ‘Group Discussion’ as part of their selection procedure. You can check the detailed bank exam pattern here.
The exam pattern cannot be predicted as SBI has already surprised everyone with this year’s ‘Probationary Officer Main Exam’, that had entirely unexpected question pattern that used to be before.
